      When you all values put in the equation, first you get the result cm.sec-2, then you divide that value by 100 for m.sec-2. Finally you get 9.8 m.sec-2.

      No problem..its okay. This value depends on position of the earth and how to perform your practical. However, your finding value of g is okay.
